How EDM is run

EDM was registered as a UK charity on 30th April 2009 under charity number 1129357.

The Charity Commission have approved EDM’s policies, procedures, risk management methodology and annual budget. The board of independent Trustees provide an overview of operational governance and direction setting out the charity’s aims and objectives. EDM also submits annual accounts and trustee reports to the Charity Commission in accordance with current charitable legislation. The Trustees are supported in the day to day running of the charity by a team with many years relevant experience in dealing with the aftermath of major incidents.


EDM Post Incident Support is a charity and depends on donations and sponsorship to continue its work helping people whose lives have been effected by a fire, flood or other incident. EDM receives donations from private individuals and from companies whose services are used by the people EDM help.
